Ocular Albinism OR Waardenburg Syndrome? You Decide

Описание к видео Ocular Albinism OR Waardenburg Syndrome? You Decide

Ocular albinism is a genetic condition that primarily affects the eyes. This condition reduces the coloring (pigmentation) of the iris, which is the colored part of the eye, and the retina, which is the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye. Pigmentation in the eye is essential for normal vision.
Waardenburg syndrome is a group of rare genetic conditions characterised by at least some degree of congenital hearing loss and pigmentation deficiencies, which can include bright blue eyes (or one blue eye and one brown eye), a white forelock or patches of light skin.Ocular features include telecanthus , synophrys , iris hypopigmentation, and choroidal hypopigmentation.
